Big City, Bad Blood available in paperback

 Thrilling News:

As you may have heard, I recently signed a three-book, world-rights deal with Thomas & Mercer to publish a new series of thrillers. The first in the trilogy - THE TRINITY GAME - comes out in Summer 2012 in four formats - hardcover, paperback, audio, and Kindle. I'm way beyond excited. Let me tell you a few of the reasons why...

I believe today's readers are looking for more control over how they read and how much they spend, and this deal gives it to them by offering multiple formats at various price points, without a long delay between the hardcover and paperback. Especially in today's economy, there's no need to force the reader to wait an additional year for the paperback. Thomas & Mercer understands - and agrees with - my view on this.

I'm thrilled to be working with renowned editor Marjorie Braman. Marjorie is one of the most respected editors in publishing, and has edited such giants as Elmore Leonard, Michael Crichton, T. Jefferson Parker, and Michael Gruber. To work with her is truly an opportunity of a lifetime.

Independent booksellers have been incredibly supportive of my first two books, and I'm truly grateful for their friendship and encouragement. I hope to continue my efforts to drive sales through indies by hitting the road over the summer, speaking and signing at independent bookstores and libraries. I'll also be looking for new ways to strengthen our relationship and provide added value to indies and their customers.

THE TRINITY GAME is a departure for me, and opens a new chapter in my career. The book introduces new characters, cities, and situations - but judging by the response from early readers, fans of the Ray Dudgeon books will not feel left behind. It's still me, after all. Thomas & Mercer has made a real commitment to support this book, and I hope you will enjoy it too.
